22 Jan Do You Know Your End Goal?
To effectively grow your business, you must know where you want to end up. Having the end goal in mind, helps you determine what steps you must be taking now, next, and into the future. For example, think about building a house. Before you even break the ground, you have to plan out your final outcome. You don’t just jump in and start building. In fact, you spend a bulk of the time planning out every detail before you even lift a single tool. You then use these blueprints to guide you through laying the foundation, then the pipes, then the walls, etc.
In your business, you must start with identifying where you want to be. Otherwise, you may spend time spinning your wheels and become distracted and end up where you never intended to get. I challenge you this week to identify at least 1 result or outcome for each goal you have. Truly take the time to consider what the destination looks like now before you commit to a decision. This will instantly give you clarity and help you better evaluate if a decision you make is the right decision for the long-term.
In business, clarity is extremely important. If you don’t know where you are going, then take the time right now to start planning. If you don’t spend time creating annual goals, then you are losing out on the clarity you need.
Are you struggling with figuring out where your business is going (and where you want your business to be)? If so, drop me a line and I am more than happy to jump on a call with you and work through it.
Remember, you build from the ground up, but you must plan from the stars down.
