Can You Achieve Anything and Everything?

Can You Achieve Anything and Everything?

When it comes to life, we like to think that we can achieve everything we want. But, I have good and bad news for you today. We can’t achieve everything, it’s just not possible. However, you can achieve anything you want. See, it’s hard to chase everything you possibly dreamed of. There’s just not enough time in a day and, more importantly, there’s not enough of you to go around to get everything done.

That’s why I always tell my clients to focus on one or a few things they want. And, when they can commit 100% to achieving them – guess what? They can!

Think of it this way…

If you had an extra 2 hours a week to devote to anything you wanted, how should you use this time?

Some people, especially entrepreneurs would try to crank as much in those two hours as possible. So, let’s say you try to do 4 things in that two-hour span. That means each task would only get 30 minutes of your attention. And, realistically less as you shift from one thing to the next. Could you likely master all 4 things you wanted to that week – in just 30 minutes? Most likely not. However, if you decided to just focus on one or two things for those 2 hours, your chances of actually finishing something probably skyrockets.

So I challenge you this coming week to be focused on getting anything you want – the keyword here is anything (not everything)! You can do this by…

  1. Spending time reflecting. You want to be crystal clear on exactly what you want so you can put a plan in place to go after it. Take just an hour of your time this week to get focused and honest with yourself about your wants and goals. Really ask yourself what you are willing to do to achieve the outcome(s) you truly want.
  2. Pick one area in your life you want to change. Once you have your goal in mind, hone in deeper on that area of your life. What can you do today to start generating momentum to see change happen? What resources might you need to get started? What mindsets would you have to break down to start seeing results or to get motivated?
  3. Commit 100% to growth in your target area. It is not about what you know but about how you execute. You will not get the results you want if you do not commit 100% and take action. Don’t let yourself get caught in the trap of trying to perfect everything, instead, continually stay focused on taking action — even if it is small action. If you find yourself being spread too thin, then this is your indicator that you are taking on too much and need to scale back.
